About AZAR
Azar Law Firm (“AZAR”) is a full-service law firm founded by Yazan Musmar, who brings diverse experience as an in-house counsel and law firm team member in and outside Jordan.
AZAR members have more than 24 years of experience in a wide range of legal matters and have represented a large number of local and foreign clients in arbitration of construction and commercial disputes, banking, construction contracts, local investment, energy, privatization and corporate structuring, general corporate matters, joint venture agreements, agency, franchise and distributorship agreements, and civil and commercial litigation.

Public Private Partnership
The AZAR team has strong experience representing clients in privatization and public-private partnership projects, on the government, investor or lender side. This covers the full process, from due diligence and preparing, reviewing and drafting the legal parts of tender documents, through to supervising the legal aspects of the project.
Litigation and Arbitration
AZAR provides high-quality commercial and civil litigation services to its clients before the courts of Jordan. Our dedicated litigation team handles more than 150 cases involving construction, fraud, commercial disputes, banking transactions, electronic crimes and labor disputes.
General Corporate Services
We provide all corporate services, from company formation and shareholders’ agreements to board of directors minutes, ordinary and extraordinary general assembly minutes, liquidation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and corporate restructuring.
Mergers and Acquisitions
AZAR advises on mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructurings. Our lawyers have taken part in a variety of transactions in and outside Jordan, supervising transactions on behalf of clients and handling legal due diligence, negotiations, drafting and documentation.
Yazan Musmar
Founder and Managing Partner
Yazan Musmar is a highly skilled attorney focusing on corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions and related work. Having worked for 19 years at a law firm, a bank, an engineering design and consulting firm, and a dairy company in Kuwait, Yazan has a wealth of practical experience in acquisitions, banking, construction and corporate restructuring.
He has handled transactions in which his clients acquired companies in Jordan and abroad, including in Europe, reviewing and commenting on acquisition documents and agreements. He has reviewed FIDIC-based and other forms of construction agreements, reviewed and drafted BOOT and BOT project agreements, and participated in one of the largest pharmaceutical takeovers in Jordan. Yazan was also a senior team member on a major acquisition by a group of international investors in airport management and operation.
Yazan is admitted to the Jordan Bar. He is a graduate of the University of Jordan School of Law (LL.B., 2002; LL.M., 2009).
